Crater del Pululahua

Yesterday we went to visit the 5 km-wide crater of the volcano Pululahua to learn about the geology of Ecuador/the Andes.  Pululahua is an active volcano but hasn't erupted for about 2300 years.  The crater here is one of two inhabited craters in the world!  Pululahua means 'nube de agua,' or cloud of water/fog.
